Effective acne treatment depends on understanding your skin, not applying a standard protocol. At Changes Clinic, we follow a structured three-step process to get to the right treatment plan for you.
Step 1 — Your Free Consultation
Your practitioner assesses your skin, discusses your history with acne and any treatments you have already tried, and asks about contributing factors including diet, hormones and skincare habits. We assess acne severity, type and distribution. Your treatment plan comes from this assessment, not a price list.
Step 2 — Your Treatment
Treatment takes place at our CQC-registered clinic at 1000 Lakeside, Cosham, Portsmouth. Depending on your assessment, your plan may include one or more of the following: prescription-strength topical treatments, chemical peels, laser and light-based treatments, or RF microneedling for acne scarring. We carry out treatments in the clinic and provide home care guidance to support progress between sessions.
Step 3 — Your Results
Acne treatment results depend on the severity of your condition and the treatment combination used. Most clients see meaningful improvement within 6 to 12 weeks of starting treatment. I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference.
Looking after my skin and being mindful of my diet definitely helps to keep it under control, but IPL at Changes Clinic has made the biggest difference by far. The redness in my face has reduced so much, and even when I do get a flare up, it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be because the underlying redness has improved so much.

I have had 2 treatments so far and I already see a difference in my hair density and texture. She can use a gun or syringe, the syringe goes deeper and achieves better results, so its worth asking for the syringe method.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available.
I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. Sumaiyah has been amazing through every step. From consultation to our current progress. What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment is a free consultation where your practitioner assesses your skin in detail. We look at acne type, distribution and severity, ask about your history with treatments and discuss what combination of clinic and at-home care is likely to produce the best results. You leave with a clear treatment plan rather than a vague recommendation.
Am I a suitable candidate for clinical acne treatment?
Clinical acne treatment is appropriate for most people who have not achieved satisfactory results with over-the-counter products, or who have moderate to severe acne. Some treatments, including certain chemical peels and laser therapies, are not suitable if you are pregnant or on specific medications such as isotretinoin. Your practitioner will review your history at consultation and advise on which treatments are appropriate for you.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. You can spread the cost of your acne treatment course into 3 monthly payments with Klarna at 0% interest. This is available at the time of booking and applies to your full treatment plan.
How far is Changes Clinic from Basingstoke?
Our clinic is at 1000 Lakeside, Cosham, Portsmouth. From Basingstoke the drive takes around 45 to 50 minutes via the M3 and M27. Free parking is available at the clinic when you arrive.
