Your practitioner assesses your skin in person. We look at the type and severity of your acne, the areas affected, your skin type and your history with previous treatments. We also discuss any hormonal, dietary or lifestyle factors that may be contributing. From this assessment, we design a treatment plan that targets the specific causes and types of acne affecting your skin.

Step 2 — Your Treatment Course

Acne treatment at Changes Clinic can involve one or more clinical modalities depending on your skin and the nature of your acne. These include chemical peels that target blocked pores and excess oil production, LED light therapy that reduces the bacteria responsible for inflammatory acne, advanced facials with extraction, and prescription topical or oral treatments where appropriate. I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available. I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first appointment is a free consultation where your practitioner examines your skin closely, asks about your acne history and what you have already tried, and identifies the contributing factors at play. You leave with a proposed treatment plan and a clear idea of the expected timeline. There is no obligation to book treatment on the day.

Am I a suitable candidate for clinical acne treatment?

Clinical acne treatment at Changes Clinic is suitable for adults and older teenagers experiencing acne that has not responded adequately to over-the-counter products. Clients with severe cystic acne may also benefit from a parallel referral to a dermatologist for systemic treatment, which we can advise on. Certain treatments in our protocol, including chemical peels, are not appropriate for clients who are pregnant or who have used isotretinoin (Roaccutane) in the past 12 months. Your practitioner confirms what is appropriate at consultation.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Klarna lets you split the cost of your treatment course into three monthly payments at 0% interest. Since acne treatment typically involves a course of sessions, this option helps clients manage the cost without paying everything upfront.
