Are dermal fillers safe, and will the results look natural?
The concern is understandable. Poorly placed filler, or too much filler applied in the wrong areas, produces results that look obvious and artificial. This is almost always a consequence of inadequate assessment and poor technique, not the treatment itself.
Dermal fillers are injectable medical products. Their safety profile is well documented when they are used correctly, by a qualified, experienced & insured practitioner, following a proper assessment of the client's facial anatomy. At Changes Clinic, our qualified, experienced & insured practitioners carry out a full assessment before any treatment plan is agreed. We do not apply a standard volume across all clients. We assess your facial structure, your skin quality and what you want to achieve, and we build a plan from that.
Natural-looking results come from restraint as much as technique. We add volume where it has been lost, support structure where it has softened, and avoid filling for the sake of it. If less is more appropriate, we will say so.

About dermal fillers at Changes Clinic
Our qualified, experienced & insured practitioners use hyaluronic acid-based fillers to restore facial volume, define contours and smooth deep lines. We treat the cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, jawline, chin and temples, as well as the lips for clients seeking volume or definition there.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in the skin. It attracts and binds water, which means filler placed into tissue hydrates as well as volumises. Results are visible immediately and continue to settle over a few days as any initial swelling reduces.

Dermal fillers administered by our qualified, experienced & insured practitioners
Filler placement requires anatomical knowledge and clinical judgement. The face has a complex structure of muscles, ligaments and blood vessels, and injection technique matters. Our qualified, experienced & insured practitioners have the clinical training to assess your anatomy accurately and to place product safely.

What our clients say
Common questions
Are dermal fillers safe?
Hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers have a strong safety record when used by clinically trained practitioners. The most common side effects are swelling and bruising at injection sites, which settle within a few days. Serious complications, including vascular occlusion, are rare but serious, which is why treatment should only take place in a clinical setting with a practitioner trained to manage them. Our qualified, experienced & insured practitioners are trained in both injection technique and complication management.
How are dermal fillers different from surgical facial rejuvenation?
Surgical procedures such as facelifts reposition tissue and remove excess skin. Dermal fillers work by restoring volume and hydration to areas that have lost it over time. Fillers cannot replicate what surgery achieves in cases of significant skin laxity, but for clients with volume loss or softened contours, fillers can produce a meaningful and natural-looking improvement without surgery, anaesthesia or recovery time.
Can dermal fillers be combined with other treatments at Changes Clinic?
Yes. Dermal fillers are frequently combined with anti-wrinkle injections to address both volume loss and movement-related lines in the same treatment plan. They also work well alongside non-surgical facelift treatments such as HIFU for clients who want to address skin laxity and volume at the same time. Your qualified, experienced & insured practitioners will advise on the right approach at your free consultation.
