HIFU — High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound — stimulates collagen production at depth without breaking the skin surface. At Changes Clinic, we take a structured three-step approach to every HIFU treatment.
Step 1 — Your Free Consultation
Your qualified, experienced & insured practitioners assess your skin laxity, the areas you want to address and your overall skin condition. We identify whether HIFU alone is appropriate or whether a combination approach with RF microneedling would produce better results for your skin. We set realistic expectations about what HIFU can achieve and when you will see results.
Step 2 — Your Treatment
Treatment takes place at our CQC-registered clinic at 1000 Lakeside, Cosham, Portsmouth. We apply ultrasound gel to the treatment area and use the HIFU device to deliver focused energy to the deep structural layers of the skin, including the SMAS layer — the same tissue a surgeon addresses in a traditional facelift. Sessions typically take 60 to 90 minutes for a full face and neck treatment.
Step 3 — Your Results
HIFU stimulates the body's own collagen-building process. Results develop gradually over 4 to 6 weeks and peak at around 3 months as new collagen matures. I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference.
Looking after my skin and being mindful of my diet definitely helps to keep it under control, but IPL at Changes Clinic has made the biggest difference by far. The redness in my face has reduced so much, and even when I do get a flare up, it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be because the underlying redness has improved so much.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available.
I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment is a free consultation with our qualified, experienced & insured practitioners. We assess your skin laxity and the areas you want to treat, then explain what HIFU can realistically achieve for you and how many sessions are likely needed. You will leave with a clear treatment plan and a realistic picture of what the results will look like and when they will appear.
Am I a suitable candidate for HIFU?
HIFU works best for clients with mild to moderate skin laxity who want a non-surgical improvement in skin firmness and definition. It is less effective for severe skin laxity, where a surgical approach may be more appropriate. HIFU is not suitable if you have active skin infections, implanted metal devices near the treatment area, certain nerve conditions or if you are pregnant. Your qualified, experienced & insured practitioners will confirm suitability at consultation.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. HIFU treatment at Changes Clinic can be split into 3 monthly payments with Klarna at 0% interest. This is available when you book your treatment appointment.
How far is Changes Clinic from Basingstoke?
We are at 1000 Lakeside, Cosham, Portsmouth — approximately 45 to 50 minutes from Basingstoke via the M3 and M27. Free parking is available on site when you arrive.
