How HIFU Works at Changes Clinic

HIFU, or high-intensity focused ultrasound, targets the deep layers of tissue beneath the skin to stimulate new collagen production and produce a lifting and tightening effect. It is the only non-surgical technology that reaches the SMAS layer, the same layer addressed in surgical facelifts. Here is how treatment works at our clinic.

Step 1 — Your Free Consultation

Your qualified, experienced & insured practitioners assess the areas of your face and neck you want to address. We look at skin laxity, the degree of volume loss and your overall concerns. HIFU is most effective for mild to moderate laxity, and your practitioner will give you an honest assessment of what the treatment can realistically achieve for you. We also confirm your medical history is suitable.

Step 2 — Your Treatment

We apply an ultrasound gel to the treatment area and use the HIFU device to deliver focused energy at precise depths beneath the skin. The energy is targeted without affecting the skin surface. Most clients experience a warming sensation and brief moments of deeper heat as the energy reaches the SMAS layer. A full face and neck treatment takes around 60 to 90 minutes.

Step 3 — Your Results

The collagen stimulation process continues for up to 12 weeks following treatment. Most clients notice a gradual improvement in skin firmness and lift during this period, with final results visible at around three months. I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available. Am I a suitable candidate for HIFU?

HIFU delivers the best results for clients with mild to moderate skin laxity who want a non-surgical option. Clients with very significant laxity or those who have had recent facial surgery may not be ideal candidates. HIFU is not suitable for clients with active acne in the treatment area, open skin lesions, metal implants near the face or neck, or pacemakers. Your qualified, experienced & insured practitioners review your full medical history at consultation to confirm suitability.

Do you offer payment plans?
