Laser hair removal sounds simple on paper. In practice, the outcome depends entirely on the technology used and the competence of the person operating it. At Changes Clinic, every laser hair removal treatment is carried out by VTCT Level 4 qualified, experienced & insured practitioners, the industry benchmark for laser and light therapies in clinical settings. This qualification covers laser physics, skin anatomy, contraindications, safe parameter setting and adverse reaction management. It is not a weekend course.
We use medical-grade diode and Nd:YAG lasers, not IPL devices. IPL (intense pulsed light) scatters light across a broad spectrum and is significantly less effective at targeting the melanin in hair follicles. Diode laser offers precise penetration depth for effective follicle destruction. Nd:YAG penetrates deeper and is safe for darker skin tones, allowing us to treat all skin tones with the appropriate technology. A consultation includes a skin and hair assessment to determine which laser and parameters are right for you.
Our CQC-registered clinic provides an environment where laser safety protocols are properly enforced: protective eyewear, calibrated equipment, documented treatment records and trained practitioners. This is not the experience at every laser hair removal venue.

What we treat
We provide laser hair removal for the face and body. Common treatment areas include the upper lip, chin, underarms, arms, legs, bikini line, Brazilian, back and chest. We treat all skin tones using the appropriate laser technology for each individual.
Hair grows in cycles, which means only follicles in the active growth phase respond to laser treatment at any given session. A full course of sessions is required to catch all follicles at the right stage. Most clients achieve 80 to 90 percent permanent reduction after a complete course.

Common questions
How far is Changes Clinic from Chichester?
Changes Clinic is at 1000 Lakeside, Cosham, Portsmouth. From central Chichester, the drive takes around 20 to 25 minutes via the A27 east. Free parking is available at the clinic.
Is a consultation required before laser hair removal?
Yes. Your practitioner needs to assess your skin tone, hair colour and hair texture before recommending the appropriate laser and settings for your treatment. This assessment also covers medical history, any medications that may affect skin sensitivity to laser and any contraindications to treatment. The consultation is free.
How long do laser hair removal results last?
Laser hair removal permanently reduces hair growth in the treated area. Most clients achieve an 80 to 90 percent reduction after a full course of sessions. Some fine regrowth can occur over years, particularly with hormonal changes. Occasional top-up sessions maintain the result. The treated follicles that are successfully destroyed do not regenerate.
What makes Changes Clinic different from a salon or beauty clinic offering laser hair removal?
Many venues offering laser hair removal use IPL devices operated by staff without formal laser qualifications. At Changes Clinic, our practitioners hold VTCT Level 4 certification in laser and light therapies. We use medical-grade diode and Nd:YAG laser systems, not IPL. Our clinic operates under CQC registration. The combination of qualified, experienced & insured practitioners, the right technology and a clinical setting produces consistently better results and a much lower risk of adverse reactions.
