How Laser Hair Removal Works at Changes Clinic

Laser hair removal reduces unwanted hair through a course of sessions targeting follicles during the active growth phase. Here is the process from your first visit through to your results.

Step 1: Your Free Consultation and Patch Test

Our practitioner assesses your skin tone, hair type and the area you want to treat. We carry out a test patch on the skin before any full session to confirm your response to the laser. We agree a treatment schedule and provide pre-treatment guidance, including shaving requirements and advice on sun exposure.

Step 2: Your Treatment Sessions

Our VTCT Level 4 practitioners use diode and Nd:YAG lasers to deliver targeted energy to each follicle. The sensation is a brief snap of warmth against the skin. Sessions take between 15 minutes for smaller areas and around an hour for larger areas such as full legs or the back. We recommend SPF use in the days following each session.

Step 3: Your Results

Hair reduction builds progressively across your session course. Most clients achieve 80 to 90% permanent hair reduction after 6 to 8 sessions. About Laser Hair Removal

We treat all common areas: legs, underarms, bikini and Brazilian, face and upper lip, chest, back, shoulders and stomach. Our diode laser targets follicles effectively on lighter skin tones and our Nd:YAG laser treats deeper skin tones safely, including Fitzpatrick types IV to VI. We do not use IPL devices.

I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available. Your first appointment is a free consultation and patch test. Our practitioner assesses your skin tone and hair type, selects the appropriate laser settings and performs a test patch on the area. Am I a suitable candidate for laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal works across most skin and hair combinations. It is most effective on darker hair and is less effective on white, grey, blonde or very fine hair. We do not treat clients who are pregnant or who have recently tanned the area to be treated. Our practitioner assesses your suitability fully at the free consultation.
