Mr Obi Onyekwelu

Consultant Plastic & Hand Surgeon

FRCS (Plast) EBHS (Dip)

I am a consultant plastic and hand surgeon specialising in surgical oncology (skin cancer, soft tissue, melanoma, and rare tumours) and upper limb surgery to the hand. I have worked within the field of Plastic Surgery in England for over 10 years, both privately and within the NHS. I am a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH), a member of the Faculty of Expert Witnesses, and on the Specialist Register of Plastic Surgeons. I hold the statutory registration as a Plastic Surgeon with the General Medical Council (GMC). I currently manage an NHS Plastic Surgery department in addition to my private work, supervising the team of Core Surgical and Specialty Trainees working across a range of services. Previously working in the ambulatory unit at the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust as an Advanced Training Post (ATP) Training Interface Group (TIG) Hand Fellow, I led the provision of hand surgery under Wide Awake Local Anaesthetic No Tourniquet (WALANT) which is super-efficient. My private practice at Changes Clinic involves the removal of lesions in a minor surgical environment. Any lesions that warrant histology are sent to the private NHS laboratory for assessment. Results are sent to you and your GP if required. I can remove most large lesions including moles, cysts & lipomas. I also treat keloid scars.

Sue has extensive experience in the nursing world with over 45 years of working in hospitals in both the UK and across the Globe. She currently works with Mr Onyekwelu assisting minor surgical treatments and dressing wounds on follow up visits when required. Clients love her easy manner, and she is a valuable member of the minor surgical team.

Julie Heath

I have been a qualified nurse since 2013, and returned to university to complete my prescribing qualification. I have been performing aesthetic treatments for over 15 years and mentoring others. Within Changes Clinic I offer weight loss treatments; anti-wrinkle for fine lines, face lifting, hyperhidrosis and platysma bands; dermal fillers for volume loss, face structuring and definition; and facial chemical peels, fat dissolving, skin boosters and sclerotherapy.

Senior Sonographer – Specialist in Abdominal, Pelvic & Fertility Imaging I am a highly experienced Senior Sonographer with advanced training in abdominal, pelvic and fertility ultrasound. Having led ultrasound services across both NHS and independent sectors for over 18 years, I bring a depth of expertise that supports accurate diagnosis, early detection and truly personalised patient care. I am the clinical lead for a premium diagnostic service at Changes Clinic, providing high-quality, consultant-level ultrasound imaging with rapid reporting and a calm, patient-centred approach. My practice is grounded in clinical excellence, clear communication and evidence-based care. Patients value my attention to detail, gentle scanning technique and ability to explain findings with clarity and reassurance. I provide all imaging and reporting for Changes Clinic, delivering a seamless, high-quality experience from assessment to results.

Sumaiyah Rangila

I have worked in the industry for nearly 10 years gaining VTCT beauty level 2 & 3, VTCT Level 4 laser & Aesthetics as well as CPD Level 5 Aesthetics. I am also trained in PRP treatments & phlebotomy. I offer Mesotherapy, Skin Needling, Chemical peels, PRP hair, HIFU, RF Needling and Electrolysis. I enjoy and am passionate about all the treatments I provide and am dedicated to delivering results.

Vanessa Shaw

I am a level 6 skin specialist here at Changes Clinic with over 18 years’ experience in the beauty sector. I have a passion for all things skin, including cosmetic and medical tattooing, blemish removal and advanced skin treatments like skin boosters, Mesotherapy and peels. I started my journey within the industry as a level 3 massage therapist and progressed in the beauty sector specialising in the fields I love the most. I have had the pleasure of teaching here at Changes Clinic, Southdown’s college and within the medical grade skincare sector. My journey with Changes Clinic started roughly 10 years ago when I was a student here at the academy starting my Cosmetic tattooing career. I am available for consultations and treatment, whether it’s to give you new eyebrows, or improve the skin from a range of methods including diathermy and skincare.

I have a passion for helping clients achieve healthy, confident skin, I made the exciting decision to change careers into the aesthetics industry and have spent the past year building my experience and expertise. I hold Level 4 qualifications in Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Radiofrequency, Laser Hair Removal and IPL, allowing me to provide safe, effective, and results-driven treatments. At Changes, I offer a range of advanced aesthetic treatments, including Skintrinsiq, Focus Dual, and personalised skin treatments tailored to each client's individual needs. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where every client feels comfortable, supported, and confident throughout their skincare journey.

I am Laura McBride, also known as The Emerald Healer. I am a holistic therapist dedicated to helping clients feel restored, balanced and confident in themselves. Based in the Portsmouth area and working from Changes Clinic, I bring together professional training, therapeutic expertise and a genuinely caring approach to create treatments tailored to everyone. As a Reiki Master and Teacher, Lymphatic Drainage Specialist and skin therapist, I offer a range of treatments designed to support both physical and emotional wellbeing. My expertise includes therapeutic and lymphatic massage, facial treatments, skin laser therapies and Reiki, with pregnancy-safe and wellness-focused options available.

Megan started her journey with Changes as an apprentice 7 years' ago. She is a valuable part of the customer service & admin team at Changes: managing the diary, ensuring all products & stock is available to practitioners. She is at the end of the phone for any queries you may have about treatment as her extensive knowledge of who is best to treat for what concern has been gained over her time with us.

Stephanie Chambers

Clinic Co-Ordinator

Stephanie joined Changes customer service team some four years ago. She is an invaluable member of our team, keeping us all tidy with great administration & organisational skills. Clients love her as she is such a wonderful people person. Front of House, she is our mainstay, taking on tasks we wouldn't have even thought about. All the while keeping our systems together and all our admin up to date. Steph is also on the end of the phone if you need any advice from her wealth of experience in the industry.
