About Permanent Makeup
Permanent makeup uses a fine needle to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin, creating defined, lasting results for brows, lips, and eyes. At Changes Clinic, our practitioners hold VTCT qualification in semi-permanent makeup and carry out treatments to a clinical standard.
We offer: microblading (hair-stroke brows), ombre powder brows, combination brows, lip blush and full lip colour, and semi-permanent eyeliner. At your consultation, your practitioner assesses your skin type, natural feature shape, and tone preferences to design a result that suits your face. Colour matching is part of the consultation process.
The initial treatment takes between 90 minutes and two hours depending on the area. A topical anaesthetic numbs the area before and during treatment. Pigment appears darker immediately after the appointment and softens as the skin heals. A top-up appointment at four to eight weeks is included as standard, allowing your practitioner to refine colour and definition once the skin has settled.

I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference.
Looking after my skin and being mindful of my diet definitely helps to keep it under control, but IPL at Changes Clinic has made the biggest difference by far. The redness in my face has reduced so much, and even when I do get a flare up, it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be because the underlying redness has improved so much.

I have had 2 treatments so far and I already see a difference in my hair density and texture. She can use a gun or syringe, the syringe goes deeper and achieves better results, so its worth asking for the syringe method.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available.
I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. How many sessions will I need?
Permanent makeup is completed across two appointments. The initial session does the primary work, and a top-up at four to eight weeks refines the colour and definition once the skin has fully healed. Most clients are satisfied after these two sessions, though some skin types, particularly oily or mature skin, may benefit from an additional colour boost after the first year.
Is there any downtime after permanent makeup?
The treated area will appear darker and slightly swollen immediately after the appointment. This settles over seven to fourteen days as the skin heals and the colour fades to its true tone. Some minor scabbing is normal. We advise keeping the area dry, avoiding sun exposure, and not applying makeup directly to the treated skin during the healing period.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your consultation covers your goals, face shape, skin type, and colour preferences. Your practitioner draws on a proposed shape for your approval before any pigment is used. You agree the design before treatment begins. If you are happy to proceed on the same day, your appointment continues into the treatment phase. There is no pressure to start immediately.
