Will my permanent makeup look natural?
The fear of looking "overdone" is the most common concern we hear from clients considering permanent makeup. It is a reasonable concern. Poor permanent makeup is very visible and very difficult to remove. The colour can fade to an unflattering tone, the shape can look drawn-on, and the result can look nothing like the natural enhancement the client expected.
The quality of the outcome depends on two things: the skill of the practitioner and the depth of the colour and shape consultation before the procedure. Permanent makeup is not a one-size approach. Brow shape needs to suit your face structure, your natural brow growth pattern and the density of hair present. Lip colour needs to complement your natural skin tone and lip structure. Eyeliner needs to enhance your eye shape rather than work against it.
At Changes Clinic, your practitioner maps the shape with you before any pigment is applied. You see the design and approve it. The pigment shade is selected to suit your colouring. We work toward results that read as natural and well-groomed, not as obvious cosmetic tattooing. Here is what we offer at Changes Clinic.

About permanent makeup at Changes Clinic
Permanent makeup uses a fine needle to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin, creating the appearance of makeup that lasts for one to three years before gradually fading. Unlike tattoo ink, the pigment used in permanent makeup is formulated to fade over time, allowing for adjustments as your preferences or appearance change.
We offer eyebrow treatments including microblading, powder brows and combination brows, as well as eyeliner, lip liner and lip blush. All procedures begin with a full colour and shape consultation.
Treatment at a glance: - Treatment time: 2-3 hours including consultation and design stage - Healing time: 7-14 days, during which the colour appears darker before settling - Results duration: 1-3 years, depending on skin type, aftercare and sun exposure - Top-up appointment: recommended at 4-8 weeks to refine the result once healed - Downtime: mild swelling and redness for 24-48 hours. Scabbing is normal during healing - Removal: not reversible, but fades over time. Correction treatments available if needed

Permanent makeup performed by trained practitioners
Permanent makeup sits in the same category as tattooing in terms of the hygiene, infection control and skin penetration standards required. At Changes Clinic, procedures are carried out in our CQC-registered clinical environment with single-use, sterile needles and a strict cross-contamination protocol.
Our practitioners are trained in facial mapping and colour theory alongside the technical application process. The pre-procedure consultation is not a formality. It determines the shape, depth and pigment selection that will work for your face and your skin. If we do not think a particular treatment or shade will produce the result you are looking for, we say so at that stage.

What our clients say
Common questions
Is permanent makeup safe?
Permanent makeup is safe when performed by a trained practitioner in a clinical environment using sterile, single-use equipment. The main risks associated with permanent makeup, including infection and allergic reaction, are significantly reduced in a regulated clinical setting. At Changes Clinic we carry out a skin assessment and patch test before any pigment procedure to check for sensitivity.
How is permanent makeup different from a regular tattoo?
Both use needles to place pigment in the skin, but the technique, depth and pigment type differ. Permanent makeup uses a finer needle applied at a shallower depth, and the pigment is specifically formulated to fade gradually over time. Traditional tattoo ink is placed deeper and does not fade in the same way. This is why permanent makeup requires top-up appointments over the years and allows for adjustments as your preferences change.
Can permanent makeup be combined with other treatments at Changes Clinic?
Yes, though timing matters. We advise against other facial treatments such as laser or chemical peels on the treated area for several weeks after a permanent makeup procedure. In general, permanent makeup works well alongside anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers once the healing period is complete. Your practitioner will advise on the right sequencing at your consultation.
