Clinical precision, not a beauty salon service
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattooing technique that implants pigment into the superficial dermis. It requires a steady hand, a thorough understanding of facial anatomy, colour theory, and skin behaviour, and a clean, controlled clinical environment. At Changes Clinic, our permanent makeup practitioners work from our CQC-registered clinic at 1000 Lakeside, Cosham, Portsmouth.
Before any procedure, our practitioner carries out a detailed consultation covering your facial features, your natural colouring, your skin type, and the look you want to achieve. Permanent makeup is long-lasting by design, so the decisions made in this consultation matter. We select pigments, map the shape, and agree the design with you before we begin. Nothing is applied without your approval of the plan.
We use single-use, sterile equipment throughout. Pigment is selected to complement your colouring and to age well in the skin — avoiding the bluish or ashy tones that poorly chosen pigments can produce over time. The clinical setting, the practitioner's training, and the quality of the pigments all contribute to the outcome.

What our clients say
Common questions
How far is Changes Clinic from Worthing?
Changes Clinic is at 1000 Lakeside, Cosham, Portsmouth. The drive from Worthing is approximately 40–45 minutes via the A27. Free parking is available at the clinic on arrival.
Is a consultation required before permanent makeup?
Yes. Our practitioner takes time to map your features, select pigment shades, and design the treatment plan with you before any work begins. Permanent makeup is a long-lasting procedure and the design decisions made upfront directly affect your result. This consultation is included at no charge.
How long does permanent makeup last?
Results typically last 1–3 years, depending on your skin type (oily skin tends to fade faster), your lifestyle, and how well you follow aftercare guidance. The colour will gradually soften rather than disappear altogether, and most clients choose a colour refresh every 12–18 months to maintain the look.
What makes Changes Clinic different from a beauty salon offering permanent makeup?
Our practitioners work in a CQC-registered clinical environment with sterile, single-use equipment and professionally sourced pigments. The clinical setting means proper infection control protocols and a governance framework that holds us accountable. Beauty salons offering permanent makeup vary widely in training standards and hygiene practices. At Changes Clinic, the clinical standard is consistent on every visit.
