Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical scalpel to remove the top layer of dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, known as peach fuzz, from the face. The skin underneath is immediately smoother, brighter and more even.

I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available. I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. Common questions

Does dermaplaning make hair grow back thicker?

No. This is a common myth. Vellus hair has no pigment and no follicle structure that would cause it to grow back differently. It grows back the same as before, at the same rate.

Is it suitable for all skin types?

Dermaplaning in Portsmouth is suitable for most skin types, including dry skin. We do not treat active acne breakouts or excessively oily skin. If you are on Roaccutane or have certain skin conditions, we will advise you at your consultation.

How often should I have dermaplaning?
