Whether you want to reshape, fill in or add definition to your brows, micro-pigmentation can create a more symmetrical, fuller look that suits your face. We work with your natural brow as the starting point.

Eyeliner enhancement

From a subtle lash-line definition to a more defined liner look, permanent eyeliner saves time every morning and stays put through swimming, exercise and everything else. We also offer "Guyliner" for male clients wanting a subtle definition.

Lash line enhancement

A softer alternative to full liner, this adds density and definition between the lashes for a naturally fuller-lashed look without a visible line.

Winged tip eyeliner

Liner taken out into a defined flick at the outer corner, drawn to the length and angle that suits your eye shape.

Smoky liner

A softer, diffused line worked just beyond the lash line for depth and definition without a hard edge.

What to expect

Your initial appointment includes your consultation and first treatment. The pigment is placed using a specialist device, with topical anaesthetic cream applied beforehand for comfort. Healing takes several days, during which the colour may appear darker before settling.

A second appointment six weeks later allows for a top-up once the skin has healed and the true colour is visible. This is included in the treatment.

I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference. Looking after my skin and being mindful of my diet definitely helps to keep it under control, but IPL at Changes Clinic has made the biggest difference by far. The redness in my face has reduced so much, and even when I do get a flare up, it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be because the underlying redness has improved so much. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available. I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. Common questions

How long does permanent makeup last?

Typically two to five years, depending on your skin type, sun exposure and aftercare. Colour fades gradually and most clients return for a refresh every one to two years.

Does it hurt?

Topical anaesthetic cream is applied before treatment. Most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure or scratching. Discomfort is generally very low.

What is the difference between permanent makeup and microblading?

Microblading uses a manual blade to create hair-like strokes in the skin. For permanent makeup in Portsmouth, we use a specialist machine. The technique we recommend depends on your skin type and the result you want. We will advise at your consultation.

Can the shape or colour be changed?

Within the initial appointments, yes. The consultation stage is where we agree on shape and pigment before any work is done. Existing permanent makeup from another clinic can sometimes be adjusted or corrected.

Is it safe?

Yes. All treatments are carried out by your practitioner using approved pigments and sterile equipment. We take a full health history before any procedure.

What aftercare is needed?

We provide full written aftercare instructions. In the first week, you will need to keep the area clean and dry, avoid makeup on the treated area and protect it from sun exposure.
