What Profhilo improves

Skin laxity

Profhilo is particularly effective for early skin laxity, where the skin has started to lose firmness and elasticity. It will not replace a surgical lift, but for mild to moderate laxity it can produce a meaningful improvement.

Dull or dehydrated skin

Deep hydration from within is different to anything a topical moisturiser can achieve. Clients often describe their skin as looking lit from within after a course of Profhilo.

Fine crepey texture

The neck, decolletage and hands are areas where the skin often becomes thin and crepey with age. Profhilo can be used in all of these areas, not just the face.

A two-session course

The standard Profhilo protocol is two sessions, four weeks apart. Results develop gradually as your skin responds, with the best improvement visible around six weeks after the second session. Many clients repeat every six months to maintain their results.

We can combine Profhilo with microneedling for a more intensive collagen response, or use it alongside dermal fillers to address both skin quality and specific volume concerns at the same time.

I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference. Looking after my skin and being mindful of my diet definitely helps to keep it under control, but IPL at Changes Clinic has made the biggest difference by far. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available. I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. How is Profhilo different from dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers add volume to specific areas of the face. Profhilo spreads through the skin and improves its overall quality: hydration, firmness and elasticity. It does not change the shape or structure of your face. Many clients have both, used for different purposes.

How many sessions do I need?

The standard course is two sessions, four weeks apart. Results build over the following weeks. A maintenance session every six months keeps the skin responding well.

Is it painful?

Profhilo is injected at five specific bio-aesthetic points on each side of the face. Most clients find it very tolerable. No numbing is required for most people, though numbing cream is available if you prefer.

Is there any downtime?

Small bumps at the injection points are normal and settle within a few hours to a day. There is no other downtime. Most clients return to normal activities the same day.

Who is Profhilo in Portsmouth suitable for?
