Brows

From a subtle fill to a full reshape, micro-pigmentation can give you symmetrical, defined brows every day. Technique is chosen based on your skin type and natural brow density.

Eyes

Lash-line definition or eyeliner enhancement. From a soft, natural look to something more defined. We agree the exact look at consultation before any work is done.

What to expect

Your first appointment covers your consultation and treatment. We agree pigment colour, shape and technique before anything is applied. A review and top-up appointment follows six weeks later once the skin has healed and the settled colour is visible.

Most results last one to four years. Colour fades gradually and a refresh is recommended every one to two years to maintain the result.

I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference. Looking after my skin and being mindful of my diet definitely helps to keep it under control, but IPL at Changes Clinic has made the biggest difference by far. The redness in my face has reduced so much, and even when I do get a flare up, it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be because the underlying redness has improved so much. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available. I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. I’ve been attending changes for facial hair removal for about 6 months now and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best and easiest experiences for me. Common questions

What is the difference between semi-permanent and permanent makeup?

The distinction is mainly in terminology rather than technique. Both place pigment into the upper layers of skin. "Semi-permanent" reflects the fact that the colour fades over time and is not as deep or lasting as traditional tattooing. The treatment and experience are essentially the same.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

We take a full health history at consultation and assess the skin before proceeding. Most people with sensitive skin can have semi-permanent makeup in Portsmouth, but we will advise if there are any concerns.

Can I choose the shape and colour?

Yes. The consultation is specifically to agree on all of this before any work is done. We will recommend a shape and pigment that suits your face and colouring, but the final decision is yours.

What if I do not like the result?

The healing and settling process takes up to six weeks, so the final result is not always visible immediately. The six-week top-up appointment is specifically for any adjustments needed once the colour has settled.

Is there any downtime?

Several days of healing. The treated area may appear darker initially and will fade to the settled colour over one to two weeks. You will need to avoid makeup on the area and keep it clean and dry while healing.

Who is not suitable?

There are some contraindications, including certain skin conditions, medications and medical history. We assess this fully at your free consultation before booking any treatment.
