At Changes Clinic, removals are carried out in our CQC-registered clinic in Portsmouth, where these standards are maintained and inspected.

Our clinical team assesses every lesion before any removal. This assessment determines the most appropriate removal technique, the likely closure method and whether the specimen should be sent for histological examination. We do not perform removals without this prior assessment. If a lesion shows features that concern us clinically, we will refer you to a dermatologist rather than proceed.

Histology is available at our clinic for any removed tissue. This is particularly important for moles, where laboratory analysis confirms the nature of the tissue and provides peace of mind that nothing has been missed. We send tissue for histology whenever there is clinical reason to do so, and we discuss this with you at your assessment.
