Private ultrasound at Changes Clinic is a three-stage process from booking to receiving your report. We aim to offer same-week appointments for most scan types.
Step 1 — Your Appointment Booking
When you contact us, we ask about the type of scan you need and why you are seeking it. This allows us to confirm we can perform the scan you need and book you with the appropriate practitioner. Most patients book directly — no GP referral is required for a private scan.
Step 2 — Your Scan
Your scan takes place at our CQC-registered clinic at 1000 Lakeside, Cosham, Portsmouth. Our sonographer applies ultrasound gel to the skin and moves a handheld probe over the area. The process is painless and takes 20 to 45 minutes depending on the area being scanned.
Step 3 — Your Report
You receive a written report of your scan findings. For many scan types, the sonographer can talk you through what they see during the appointment. Your report is available within 24 to 48 hours and can be shared with your GP or specialist. Book your scan

I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference.
Looking after my skin and being mindful of my diet definitely helps to keep it under control, but IPL at Changes Clinic has made the biggest difference by far. The redness in my face has reduced so much, and even when I do get a flare up, it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be because the underlying redness has improved so much.

I have had 2 treatments so far and I already see a difference in my hair density and texture. She can use a gun or syringe, the syringe goes deeper and achieves better results, so its worth asking for the syringe method.
I combined my PRP with Calecim serum and that gives an even greater boost. So I recomend you sign up and ask for a booking with Sumaiyah, you'll be very happy that you did..

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available.
I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. Sumaiyah has been amazing through every step. From consultation to our current progress. She shows great professionalism, compassion, consideration -especially when I’m having a bad pain tolerance day- and is very meticulous in which the results are to show for it. What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your scan appointment begins with a brief discussion about why you are having the scan and any symptoms you want to highlight. The sonographer then carries out the scan using ultrasound gel and a handheld probe. The scan is painless. At the end of the appointment, the sonographer may discuss initial findings with you, and you will receive a full written report within 24 to 48 hours.
Am I a suitable candidate for a private ultrasound scan?
Most patients are suitable for private ultrasound. Some scan types require specific preparation — for example, abdominal scans usually require you to fast for a few hours beforehand, and pelvic scans may require a full bladder. We will advise you on any preparation required when you book. If your symptoms suggest you need a different type of diagnostic imaging, we will let you know.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. You can spread the cost of your ultrasound scan into 3 monthly payments with Klarna at 0% interest. This option is available at booking for all private scan types.
How far is Changes Clinic from Basingstoke?
