Step 1: Your Booking and Intake

When you contact us, we confirm the area to be scanned and note any relevant symptoms or medical history. This allows us to set the correct imaging protocol for your appointment. If your scan requires specific preparation, such as a full bladder for an abdominal scan, we let you know in advance so you arrive ready.

Step 2: Your Scan

Our qualified sonographer applies gel to the skin over the area and passes the transducer across the surface. The scan is painless and produces real-time images of the tissue beneath. Most scans take 20 to 30 minutes. Your sonographer talks you through what they are viewing in plain language where appropriate.

Step 3: Your Report

Your sonographer produces a written report of the findings after the scan. We aim to issue this on the same day or within 24 hours of your appointment. I’ve suffered with rosacea for several years and have tried all sorts of creams, skincare routines and products, but nothing really made a lasting difference. Looking after my skin and being mindful of my diet definitely helps to keep it under control, but IPL at Changes Clinic has made the biggest difference by far. The redness in my face has reduced so much, and even when I do get a flare up, it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be because the underlying redness has improved so much. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great staff. My lazer hair removal was undertaken by two very capable proffessional young women Kelly and Surmaiyah. Both demonstrate constant care and ensure this not always comfortable experience is as pleasant as possible. The facility is immaculately clean and there is excellent visitor free parking available. I have no hesitation in recommending the clinic to others and whilst I can only comment on the treatments I have received to date I will be availing myself of some of the others services offered.

I am so glad I visited the Changes Clinic today for an upper abdominal ultrasound. I was a nervous wreck as I have a bit of a phobia of scans & Andrea was just brilliant with me. What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your appointment begins with a brief review of your symptoms and the area to be scanned. Our sonographer carries out the scan, explains what they are seeing as they go and then produces a written report. Most patients complete the full appointment within 40 minutes. You receive your report on the same day or by the following morning.

Am I a suitable candidate for a private ultrasound scan?

Most adults can have an ultrasound scan with very few contraindications. Some scans require preparation beforehand, such as drinking water before an abdominal scan, and we advise you on this when you book. If your symptoms suggest a more urgent clinical concern, we will say so and recommend you contact your GP as a priority.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer Klarna at 0% interest, allowing you to divide the scan cost into three equal monthly payments. Our team can confirm scan pricing when you enquire or book.
