ACNE TREATMENT
ACNE TREATMENTS IN PORTSMOUTH
Acne is commonly assumed to be a problem only teenagers face during puberty but this is not the case. Acne can persist or even occur later in life. Adult acne and acne scars are common among people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. They can appear on the face, chest, back, and shoulders. It can be caused by hormone imbalances or also by poor skincare routines such as using the wrong type of products for your skin.
Incorrectly removing hair from the face can result in ingrown hairs becoming infected - this does not help with acne either. More and more people are pursuing laser hair removal on their faces and bodies to avoid this.
There are two types of acne: inflammatory and non-inflammatory. Inflammatory acne is persistent with primarily red, swollen, sore spots. This type of acne is typically associated with scarring and also causes anxiety for those with it. Non-inflammatory is less severe, occasional, and manageable, primarily with black heads and white pimples.
We have won awards at Changes for patient improvements in acne skin.
