Milia is a word for a number of white or yellowish spots sitting just under the surface of the skin. Often seen on babies and known as milk spots, these keratin filled cysts are a clogging of the sweat glands and can occur anywhere on the face - particularly around the eyes, cheeks and nose – and even on the genitalia (often confused with warts).

HOW MILIA ARE REMOVED

Removal is straightforward depending on placement. A tiny incision is made by a needle allowing the contents of this tiny cyst to be released. The process is done using Sterex Electrolysis using a fine needle. Care needs to be taken to avoid any further injury particularly in sensitive areas.

We remove milia on a time basis so multiple removal can be done during one treatment. FOR BEST RESULTS To avoid milia in the future try to exfoliate regularly, avoid using heavy or clogging make up or moisturisers, avoid direct sunlight and apply retinol (vitamin A).
