Is a non-surgical facelift actually effective, or is surgery the only way to get real results?
It is a fair question. The term "non-surgical facelift" has been applied to treatments that range from genuinely effective to little more than a facial with marketing behind it. The difference lies in the technology and the clinical oversight.
HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) and radiofrequency microneedling work on the structural layers of skin, not just the surface. HIFU delivers focused ultrasound energy to the SMAS layer, the same tissue a surgeon addresses in a traditional facelift. This stimulates collagen production and causes a measurable lifting and tightening effect. Radiofrequency microneedling reaches the dermis to remodel collagen from within.
These treatments cannot replicate the results of surgery for clients with significant skin laxity. But for clients with mild to moderate sagging and skin looseness, they produce a genuine, visible improvement over two to three months as new collagen develops. The result is progressive and natural, not sudden and artificial.
At Changes Clinic, your qualified, experienced & insured practitioners carry out an honest assessment of your skin before recommending a treatment. If surgery would serve you better, we will say so.

About non-surgical facelift at Changes Clinic
Our qualified, experienced & insured practitioners use HIFU and RF microneedling technology to lift, tighten and improve skin quality across the face, jawline, neck and decolletage. Treatments can be used individually or in combination depending on what your skin needs.
HIFU is particularly effective for lifting sagging skin around the brow, midface and jawline, and for tightening the neck. RF microneedling targets skin texture, fine lines, pore size and firmness. Combined, they address laxity at multiple depths for a more complete result.

What our clients say
Common questions
Is a non-surgical facelift safe?
HIFU and RF microneedling are well-established technologies with strong safety records in clinical use. Side effects are typically mild and temporary — redness, warmth and minor swelling that settle within 24 to 48 hours. HIFU can occasionally cause transient numbness or tingling in the treated area. Serious adverse effects are rare when the correct settings are used by a trained practitioner. Our qualified, experienced & insured practitioners carry out a full skin assessment before any non-surgical facelift treatment.
How is a non-surgical facelift different from a surgical facelift?
A surgical facelift physically repositions tissue and removes excess skin through incisions under general anaesthesia, with a recovery period of several weeks. A non-surgical facelift uses energy-based technology to stimulate the body's own collagen response from within the skin, without incisions or downtime. The results are subtler and more gradual, but for clients who are not ready for surgery, or who want to maintain skin quality before surgery becomes relevant, the outcomes can be very worthwhile.
Can a non-surgical facelift be combined with other treatments at Changes Clinic?
Yes. Non-surgical facelift treatments are often combined with dermal fillers to address both laxity and volume loss in the same treatment plan. Anti-wrinkle injections can also complement the result where movement-related lines need treatment alongside lifting. Your qualified, experienced & insured practitioners will advise on the most appropriate combination for your skin at your free consultation.
